Raiffeisen E-Banking – simple, fast, secure!

Raiffeisen PhotoTAN is an innovative security tool for logging in and authorizing transactions in Raiffeisen E-Banking. It can be used instead of SMS-TAN. Raiffeisen E-Banking customers can activate Raiffeisen PhotoTAN in E-Banking ("Contract number" > "Settings" > "Security" > "Login method"). Instructions are also available there.

How it works:
With this method, Raiffeisen E-Banking encodes the login and transaction data into a colored mosaic. The colored mosaic is then photographed from the screen using the built-in camera on your smartphone. The data contained in the mosaic and the corresponding authorization code are decrypted and displayed on this app on your smartphone. By activating the PhotoTAN app with a personal key mosaic, the screen-displayed mosaic can only be decrypted by your smartphone.

If you use Raiffeisen Mobile Banking, the PhotoTAN app on the same device reads the code in the background and automatically sends it back to Mobile Banking. This eliminates the need for manual entry of the additional code.

Your smartphone does not require an internet or telephone connection for this process.
